About Carlo Scarpa

Carlo Scarpa (1906–1978) was an Italian architect and designer whose work was deeply rooted in the materials, landscape, and cultural history of Venice, with an additional strong influence drawn from Japan. He channelled his passion for history, regionalism, and artisanal craftsmanship into a distinctive body of work spanning glass and furniture design.
