Magistretti created this chair for the 'Club House of Carimate's Golf Club' restaurant. The chairs changed to four different manufacturers until Magistretti requested a patent for the construction in 1963. The "Carimate" chair is inspired by the tradition of countryside furniture and simple materials such as straw and wood.
